“The workshop (10:45 am - 4.45 pm) will cover an attractive selection of tunes which Riley learned from old folks in the mountains, with lots of historical & musical information. He passes the music on as he learned it, without dots or tablature, but he teaches in a modern way, playing the tune several times, breaking down & working through each phrase slowly, focusing on techniques to improve one's playing. This method includes a bit of listen & repeat, then play together, then move to the next phrase until we have the entire tune. No-one should leave disappointed!”
